Our project is coming too end soon but we will keep posting to update any things going on in Uganda and the Watoto Childcare Ministries. Never forget about these orphans and remind yourself of them to always treasure whatever you have because there are always others in a less fortunate state than you. Also, remember that you should always look at another perspective of things and go deeper to find underlying issues instead of merely looking at the surface of things just like the issue of poverty in Uganda. Keep visiting our blog; we sincerely appreciate everyone who visits this blog which is for a good cause.

have you thought of how fortunate you are?
does it really matter if your mother bought your schoolbag in the wrong colour?
does it really matter if your mother didn't cook your favourite food?
THINK.
there are many orphans in Uganda, who are living in various states of poverty. many of them don't even have the chance to go to school. many of them go to sleep every night on empty stomachs. these orphans don't have the chance to be loved by their parents, many of which died of AIDS.
now does it really matter?

In our project, findings show that political corruption and ecstatic economy management has become the greatest problem in Uganda. However, none of these has anything to do with the poor children in Uganda who are innocent and really need YOUR HELP. They are the future generations of Ugandan leaders and are the ones who can bring Uganda out its current state and prosper in the near future. Therefore, we sincerely appeal to you for your help to these children. Thank you.

The Ugandan children of Watoto Organisation are born to face poverty.
Born to have a life without proper education.
Born to have a life without a memorable childhood unlike most of us.
They did not choose their lifes to be like that.
THEY are INNOCENT.
We can help them.
Please do. =D

There are many problems in Uganda but that does not mean we can only help the people there in one area. They need help and we should try to lend our helping hands to them, especially the children there. Children are innocent. Like all other children in other parts of the world, they should be given a chance to enjoy their childhood and not suffer. They should be given an opportunity to have an education, just like other children. After all, these children are going to be the next generation of Ugandan leaders. SO WHY NOT HELP THEM NOW???

THE CHOIR

Since 1994, Watoto Children's Choir fromKampala, Uganda, has regularly toured the United States, Canada and Great Britain.
The choir sings native African rhythms, contemporary gospel music and ethnic dance.
These children have lost one or both parents to AIDS. They are so optimistic and happy with their new life, that their performances are so lively and entertaining, its truly a emarkable and heartwarming experience.
The Watoto Childrens Choir came to visit our school, NYGH and performed for us for free. It was there that many Nanyang girls realised how unfortunate some people in Africa were.
We were very fortunate to be able to watch the concert.
For those who have not watched their performance before, you may watch a video clip on the Watoto website, www.watoto.com.
There you can also find more information on the choir, and even recordings of their songs.
For more information on bringing Watoto's Concert of Hope to your area, call the Tour Coordinator, Kim Caruso at (813) 948-4343 or email watoto@watoto.com.
If you ever have a chance to meet any one of the children, give them a hug.
SHOW THEM YOU CARE.
Thank you.

Poverty is a serious problem in Uganda now. Many in Uganda have no education, with those who receive a higher level of education such as a university degree or even high school making up a meagre percentage of the country's population. People are homeless; they even have to worry about the basic 3 meals a day and some are deprived of sanitation. They do not toilets in their homes and some even use the bush as a toilet! It has been discovered though that poverty is likely to be caused by agriculture and lack of education.
Agriculture makes up a large percentage of Uganda's economy so most people in Uganda have jobs that are related to agriculture. However, agriculture relies on nature, which is something that is totally unpredictable. Therefore, when the climate changes, or when harvests are poor, the people have to suffer. Also, lack of education causes people to only be able to apply for jobs that are of lower pay.
These areas have to be improved in order to reduce the poverty status in Uganda right now. And the only way to do it: YOU have to help them. Even donating something as basic as a table or chair to the people there, or a small sum of money that would ensure them a meal to fill their stomachs is a way to help them. So please help these people in whatever way you can. It will be truly appreciated. Thank you!
